As a a beauty blogger and Seint Artist, I am passionate about helping other beautiful women break down the makeup overwhelm and create a customized beauty routine that fits their lifestyle and goals. And this extends to taking and wearing makeup when travelling.
So to start, let me ask you, which one of these are you when you travel?
a. You take one small carry-on and maybe a suitcase for a more extended trip
b. It does not matter how long the trip is, but you have a separate suitcase for all your personal care items (hair care, makeup, lotions, potions etc.)
If you answered A, I could help you travel even lighter, and for my B ladies, you really need to keep reading
What is adding all that extra “baggage” to the baggage?
I am one of those women who travel with 2 suitcases no matter how long the trip is. One bag is for my beauty items such as:
- shampoo/conditioners
- blow dryer and curling irons
- lotions and serums
- makeup
Makeup is like clothes when you travel. Yes, you need to have eight different eye shadow colors, even though you usually use three of them.
I still have not figured out the whole “pack light” thing, but I have found makeup that travels much better than your traditional makeup.
Tell me about this magical travel makeup you speak of
I tried Seint’s Beauty initially because I loved the idea of everything being in one palette. I was sick of rummaging through makeup bags and constantly buying things I had never used. An extra bonus of everything being in one beautiful palette is that it travels so amazingly.
What exactly can fit in that palette?
- foundation
- contour (which you can also use as brow liner)
- lip colors
- blushes
- highlighters (we call them illuminators, and some of them are scented to work as a perfume)
- bronzer
- setting powder
- eyeshadows
- brow wax
- lip liner
- eyeliner
- eyeshadow brush cleaning sponge
All you need to bring separately are
- mascara
- your brushes (which are double-ended, so you need fewer of them).
- setting spray
- beauty blender
BONUS: All the compacts have a handy mirror, so it is easy to put on anywhere you are

For my jet-setters
What if you are flying? Do you hate putting bottles of makeup (because that stuff ain’t cheap) in your checked luggage because it’s too much liquid? Seint tins are TSA-approved so you can take it all with you.

Additional travel beauty necessities
If you need something that will fit all your girl’s essentials, I have found two makeup and toiletry travel bags that I love.
Sonia Kashuk Weekender Makeup Bag
Bagsmart Hanging Toiletry Travel Bag
Lastly, a few different traveling with makeup tips.
- Grab some small containers and bottles from your local Target or Drug Store so you can ditch those giant bottles.
- Watch out for the heat because some makeup will melt.
- Be mindful of where you put anything that could break if, say, it was thrown across the room by the airline. For example, keep your eyeshadows in your carry-on, if nothing else.
